About the Author
Mark J. Blechner, Ph.D., is Training and Supervising Analyst and Teaching Faculty at the William Alanson White Institute and at the New York University Postdoctoral Program in Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis. A member of the editorial board of Contemporary Psychoanalysis, Dr. Blechner also participates in the study group on neuropsychoanalysis at the New York Psychoanalytic Institute. He has written numerous articles on dreams and is the editor of Hope and Mortality: Psychodynamic Approaches to AIDS (Analytic Press, 1997).

The Dream Frontier delves deep into dream phenomenology as well as their psychotheraputical value, while raising unanswered questions about unconscious mental life. A fascinating and lucid book and recommended for students of the psychology of dreams and dreaming.

The Dream Frontier
Mark Blechner's "The Dream Frontier" is a fascinating book!
A must for any researcher or clinician who is interested in the theory of brain and dreaming.
I have found his discussion of the reality feelings in the dreams and the multiple systems involved in creating the dreams - very enlightening.
I believe his new ideas about the INTEROBJECTS and DISJUNCTIVE cognitions - are very important for understanding dream phenomenology, an area quite neglected since the interpretation of dreams came to the front stage.
