I need more!!!

Love, love love this book. The author draws you. I felt the characters' love, hurt, anger, lust. This was such a refreshing story. An old idea brought on in a new way.
I love how Grace is not your typical hot gorgeous chic. While she does have a moment where she get a "makeover" it's not a total 180. She is still insecure with herself.
Jayden. Oh, Jayden. Probably my first literary crush. Other guys were so so. But Jayden hypnotizes you deep to your core. One, he is hot and who doesn't love eye candy. Two, he loved Grace before her makeover. Two him, she was always perfect.
I felt his inner turmoil between love and duty.This book deals with both love and lust, and if you love someone you know sometimes the line between the two is hazy. Sometimes you love someone over a period of time, their hotness growing on you even if no one else finds them attractive. Other times love comes later, you notice their eyes, lips, etc. Some reviews for Ms.Persell's other work claim it is all lust. That could not be farther from the truth. Her writing is the perfect blend of lust and love.
This story deals with love being awakened. And discovering your sexual desires. Done in the right hands, that is not a bad thing. Humans feel love, we feel desire. Ms. Persell does an excellent job on both accounts.
Why only four stars? Basically I'm not used to the writing of romance novels, I guess their are certain body parts that sound better not using their medical or common name. That was bit of an adjustment.
Also it is way too short. Don't get me wrong, it's not half a novel. At the end you feel resolved with one little twist leaving room for book four, but you still feel content with where Jayden and Grace are headed. This story belongs in an epic 800 page novel not some flimsy paperback!! (note as I write this it is only an ebook but the other books in the series is now out in paperback)
Buy this. Buy one for you mom and your best friend. Great summer reading. Feeling blue on Valentine's Day? Have Jayden whisk you away!!

Micah Persell Writes The Best Love Scenes On The Planet!

And I've read plenty of romance books, in all heat levels, so I think I'm somewhat of an expert. What sets Micah's work apart is that her sex scenes aren't there just for the sake of throwing in some sex. Once the hero and heroine Impulse-Pair, they can not live without sex. It's a vital and necessary part of the plot, and to do without creates symptoms similar to a heroin withdrawal. This third book in her series is, in my opinion, her best effort to date. The carefully crafted world she created in Book One--Of Eternal Life and continues in her second book, Of The Knowledge of Good And Evil, culminates in this book. The new world is beginning, with the first child born to this new race of people. The name Micah selects for this first-born is Genesis, which, in my mind, is absolute genius. I absolutely adored Grace (another fine name), who is not your usual heroine. And who can possibly resist a hero who is trying with every ounce of himself not to become a fallen angel? His fall from grace happens when he falls for Grace. It's a beautifully crafted book, and should be on everyone's shelf.

I'm hooked!

Wow! That's the first word that comes to mind as I finished this book. I normally don't read paranormal, but Micah Persell has me hooked. I absolutely loved Ms. Persell's voice, writing style and ability to draw the reader in with just the right word choices.
It was hard not to love this story with such strong characters. I loved Jayden, the strong Alpha-Male angel, who comes into contact with his Tempation, Grace. Plus having an Alpha angel being the one who "had to kill her" and protect her at the same time left me breathless with anticipation. What were they going to do?
The whole story line had me enthralled from the beginning -- the Tree of Life, angels, Temptations and Compulsion. Ms. Persell did a fantastic job "world building."
What I absolutely loved were the amazing love scenes. I've never read anything quite like them. My heart beat a hundred miles a minute as I read them and I wanted MORE!
Excited to know there are others in this series. I will be reading Ms. Persell's backlist, no doubt and looking forward to her future endeavors.
